Kuwansou Fresh Leaf Tea
Made with 100% Kuwansou Grown in Nakijin, Okinawa Prefecture
Kuwansou (daylily), also known as "sleeping grass" in Okinawa, has long been used as a traditional medicinal herb native to the region.
It is believed to enhance the absorption, digestion, and metabolism of its active ingredients.
Made using only hand-picked Kuwansou leaves and stems, this tea lets you enjoy the plant's natural flavor.
Gaining attention in recent years, Kuwansou is left unroasted to preserve its beneficial properties, resulting in a mild taste with a subtle, natural sweetness.
Caffeine-free, it can be enjoyed safely before bedtime.
◎ Contents / Small pack: 25g, Large pack: 80g
Add about 3 pinches (approximately 5g) to 600cc of hot water, let steep for a few minutes, and enjoy.
[Tips for a delicious brew] Always brew with freshly boiled water at 98-100°C. If the water is too cold, the herbal ingredients will not be extracted as easily. Pour in the boiling water and wait at least 3 minutes. Anything less than that will result in incomplete extraction of the herbal ingredients, resulting in an incomplete flavor and reduced effectiveness. On the other hand, simmering for too long can result in a bitter taste, but if you want to maximize the herbal benefits, simmering for a longer time is more effective.
・Consume as soon as possible after opening.
・Be careful with boiling water.
・Constituents from the ingredients may float or settle. Also, slight differences in color and flavor may be noticed depending on the time of harvest, but this does not affect the quality.
・We do not recommend storing tea in the refrigerator after opening. This is because tea easily absorbs the smell of other foods, and when taking it out or putting it back in, condensation can easily form, causing the tea to become damp during humid times such as the rainy season.
