Organic Fragrant Kyoto Houjicha

This tea is made with 100% pesticide- and chemical-free leaves from the premier production area of high-quality Uji sencha.

Stems are added and the tea is deeply roasted to bring out its rich aroma and natural sweetness. With few irritants, it offers a clean, fragrant flavor with little astringency—sweeter than most roasted teas—and can be safely enjoyed by people of all ages.

Crafted from 100% organic Uji tea, produced at the Nakai Tea Factory in Wazuka Town, Kyoto.

Delicious Ways to Enjoy

(Makes three cups) Place three tablespoons (approximately 9g) of tea leaves in a large teapot and pour 400mL of boiling water (approximately 100°C) into the teapot. Leave it for about 30 seconds, then pour the water into the teacups, making sure there is no water left over.
