Product Details

This raw clay facial soap focuses on pores and healthy-looking skin.

whipp uses JOCA-certified*1 organic and sustainable ingredients, chosen through research into natural materials and a commitment to quality.

The ingredients include Okinawa Kucha, a natural clay found in Okinawa and parts of North America, making it one of the rarer clays in the world. Rice moromi lees powder is another ingredient of interest, as both are upcycled materials.

Kucha is a mineral-rich clay formed over time by Okinawa's ancient seas. The different components give it a negative charge, which helps it attract and absorb positively charged sebum and impurities from the skin. It can help remove impurities from pores and reduce dullness*2, as well as prevent roughness and improve uneven skin texture.

Rice moromi lees powder contains ceramides and amino acids, which help moisturise the skin and support its barrier function.

Sake lees are rich in nutrients associated with healthy skin, including B vitamins, amino acids and peptides. The sake lees used here come from Shirojima in Kuruma, Fukuoka, a region with a long history of sake production.

These ingredients are blended with plant oils, including olive and jojoba oils, which contain skin-conditioning components. The result is a creamy raw clay soap made with 100% naturally derived plant ingredients and essential oils certified by JOCA*1.

The soap is made by hand using a traditional kettle-fired maturation method. The makers continue to refine the process, working carefully through each stage as every batch matures. The result is a soft, creamy soap with a rich lather that cleanses pores, leaving skin feeling nourished and moisturised.

The box is made from kome-kami, a paper material produced using rice that is no longer suitable for eating.

Fragrance

A blend of fresh citrus, gentle sweetness and floral notes.

Grapefruit and bergamot give the opening a fresh citrus scent, with a balance of sweetness and bitterness. Powdery lily, sweet jasmine and rose follow, coming together in a floral scent reminiscent of white roses.

Ambrette seed adds a soft, comforting note, and cedarwood brings warmth and a gentle woody finish. Suitable for both men and women.

1. On clean, make-up free skin, take a small amount of raw soap (equivalent to 1-2 almonds), add a small amount of water or lukewarm water, and gently work it into your fingers before massaging it into your face.
2. Wash areas prone to dryness, such as around the eyes and mouth, particularly gently.
3. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water at body temperature, aiming for at least 10 rinses.
* Hot water may strip away more sebum than necessary, causing the skin to dry out. Furthermore, cold water may not open the pores sufficiently, meaning impurities may not be completely removed.

(When using a lathering net)

* Hot water may strip away more sebum than necessary, which can dry out the skin. Furthermore, cold water may not open the pores sufficiently, meaning that impurities may not be completely removed.

Acerca de whipp

Our aim was to create organic skincare that’s playful, unique, a little wayward, and fun - feeling secure enough to reveal your true self. That is what organic means - expressing your thoughts freely and honestly. Organic means natural, it means being full of life, it means bringing things to life.

The products themselves, the blends within them, us who use them, and the world around us. Let’s stir things up, whip them together, and come alive. Let’s bring life to everything.

The Philosophy Behind whipp

We push things to the limit, but we take what we do seriously.

At whip, we explore organic products in depth, pursue their possibilities to the fullest and push them further. We do this while staying true to what matters for people and the planet.

By focusing upcycled ingredients, such as Okinawan kucha, rice moromi lees powder, shikuwasa and rice bran, we air to reduce our impact on the natural environment.

We're conscious of sustainability, and we develop products with a view to living in harmony with nature. We use refillable containers and kome-kami, a paper material made from rice that can no longer be consumed, for our packaging.
