Flavor Characteristics

Crafted from deep roasted coffee beans sourced from Colombia, Guatemala, and Brazil.
Its deep richness and natural sweetness make it perfect for a relaxing afternoon—equally delightful on its own or paired with milk.

Delicious, organic coffee

Because it's something you enjoy every day, we believe coffee should be free from concerns about residual pesticides or environmental contaminants from the growing region. That commitment to safety and quality is what inspired us to begin developing our organic coffee.

The true delight of coffee lies in its aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel. While there are countless types of coffee, each with its own distinct character, its taste is shaped by many factors—such as the variety of beans, the roasting process, and the brewing method. For example, depending on how it's roasted, coffee can take on notes that are deeply aromatic, fruity, bright and acidic, or richly bitter. The flavor is also influenced by the bean's origin, how it was cultivated, and even the timing of its harvest.

Coffee is, without a doubt, a product of craftsmanship.

That's why we've partnered with Caravan Coffee, a respected, long-established roaster founded in Yokohama in 1928. Together, we carefully source premium beans from around the world and use state-of-the-art equipment to apply exceptional roasting techniques that bring out the full character of each variety. Through meticulous quality control, we've also achieved organic JAS certification, ensuring a cup of coffee that's as safe and reliable as it is delicious.

About Brown Sugar 1st

"Is this something I would want to feed my daughter?"

That simple question was the starting point for Brown Sugar First.

When I was pregnant during the Great East Japan Earthquake, I often found myself unsure about what was truly safe and healthy to feed my daughter. Each day was filled with uncertainty and anxiety.

As I began breastfeeding, I became even more aware of how directly my own diet impacted my baby's health. It was a powerful realization—and it opened my eyes to the importance of being intentional about what we eat.

That's why every product we create is guided by one clear standard:
"Would I feel good about giving this to my child?"

This question isn't just our beginning—it's our unwavering commitment.
