As a brand that draws on the blessings of Okinawa's nature, RUHAKU launched the ethical sunscreen "Gettou UV Body Veil" in July 2016 and has since led the way in the quality of domestically produced organic UV products.
Focusing on UV protection for the lips, we have developed the "Ice UV Lip Veil" (summer limited edition) with a cool, refreshing feel to complement our standard "UV Lip Veil" product, which offers sunburn prevention.
This UV lip balm offers SPF20 PA++ protection without using UV absorbers or scatterers.
In addition to UV protection, it is formulated with Gettou (which helps prevent chapping) and Okinawan Tamanu (a skin-conditioning and moisturizing ingredient) for superior skincare benefits.
The refreshing scent of menthol provides a cooling sensation on the lips.

Behind the Scenes

We developed our signature lip sunscreen, "UV Lip Veil," with the hope of creating a brand that offers a positive experience—one where anyone can achieve beautiful lips whenever they choose, even if they're not naturally prone to having them. This aspiration reflects RUHAKU's commitment to all our customers, regardless of gender.
During a planning meeting for lip products, a male staff member in his 50s remarked, "To be honest, I still feel a little embarrassed and hesitant about applying lip balm." Taking this into consideration, we developed "Ice UV Lip Veil" to create a gender-neutral lip product with a basic feel and finish.

Shipping Courier:
In general, we ship via EMS, but we also offer FedEx shipping for customers in the United States of America.

Shipping fees are calculated based on the combined weight of the products and shipping box. Shipping fees will be displayed at checkout in your selected currency.

When a package is shipped outside of Japan, it undergoes customs inspection in the destination country and may be subject to taxes or duties depending on local regulations. Shipping Timeframe:
All orders are processed within 2–3 business days of receipt, and we typically aim to ship orders within one week.
Our warehouse operates Monday through Friday during standard business hours (Japan Standard Time), excluding Japanese national holidays, during which the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take every step possible to minimize shipping delays.
Packages are not shipped from our warehouse on weekends or Japanese national holidays.
