Agave syrup is a natural sweetener with roots in the traditions of Mexico's indigenous peoples. It's extracted from the blue agave, considered the highest-grade variety among Agave species.

Our agave syrup is made by compressing and gently hydrolyzing the rhizomes of the blue agave plant to create a smooth, liquid sugar.

With over 85% of its content as fructose, agave syrup has a very low glycemic index—just 21 (±4)—making it a sweetener that won't cause sharp spikes in blood sugar. It's also 1.4 to 1.6 times sweeter than regular sugar, so you can use less while enjoying the same level of sweetness.
