Organic Doubanjiang

An organic JAS-certified doubanjiang. With just this one bottle, you can create amazing, authentic Chinese dishes! A versatile seasoning that is key to enhancing flavor.

Doubanjiang is a classic Chinese fermented seasoning. What sets organic doubanjiang apart is its ease of use! With just one bottle, your usual Chinese dishes will instantly transform into authentic creations. Compared to regular doubanjiang, it has a deeper flavor and is less spicy, making it a delightful surprise compared to what you're used to.

It's not as spicy as you might expect! You'll find yourself unable to stop because of its surprisingly rich flavor. The secret lies in the soy sauce! The organic soy sauce used in this doubanjiang is made using the "highest quality soy sauce" method. It involves re-brewing with raw soy sauce in the original saltwater brewing process. Organic whole soybeans and organic wheat are fermented for 180 days—twice as long as usual—to create a nutrient-rich soy sauce full of amino acids.

The ingredients and manufacturing process are carefully selected, including organic cane sugar, organic chili peppers grown in collaboration with local farmers, sea salt sun-dried in unpolluted waters, organic shiitake mushrooms, and kelp, all prepared using traditional methods.

Acerca de Kaze to Hikari

The Philosophy Behind the Company Name "Kaze to Hikari"

Kaze to Hikari Co., Ltd.
The "wind" that blows across the earth and the "light" that nurtures all life—both continue to bless us daily, transcending the borders of human-made divisions, class, and race. Through the spread of organic food, we aspire to embody this very same presence. Our company name reflects this simple and sincere desire, free from any embellishment.

Towards a Company that Coexists with Nature
While "wind" and "light" bring us blessings, they can also bring destructive forces such as typhoons, earthquakes, and tsunamis. Additionally, the degradation of nature caused by human activity sends warnings in the form of extreme weather events. In the face of these challenges, how can we continue to live harmoniously on Earth?
At Kaze to Hikari, we live each day with this crucial question in mind.
