Kuwansou Flower Tea
Made with Leaves, Stems, and Flowers of Kuwansou Grown in Nakijin, Okinawa Prefecture
Known locally as "sleeping grass," kuwansou has long been consumed in Okinawa as a native wild plant.
This herbal tea is crafted from 75% kuwansou leaves and stems and 25% flowers, all hand-picked from a farm in Nakijin Village, Okinawa Prefecture. The blend preserves the natural flavor of kwanso while offering a smooth, easy-to-drink experience.
Packaged in a triangular tetrapod tea bag for convenient brewing and visibility.
Our ancestors infused kuwansou with pork as a traditional medicinal dish to combat sleeplessness. Today, recent research has scientifically validated its effects.
Kuwansou is also recognized as one of the 28 traditional Okinawan island vegetables designated by Okinawa Prefecture, a proud symbol of the region’s culinary and healing heritage.
