This flavorful sea salt is made from mineral-rich seawater from the lush, natural Yuya Bay in Yamaguchi Prefecture. It's carefully boiled together with akamoku, a seaweed superfood packed with dietary fiber—no chemical seasonings, of course.

To deepen the flavor, a touch of smoked salt is added, giving it a fragrant, rustic taste reminiscent of rice cooked in a traditional Japanese kamado oven.

Key Points

Drawn from brackish seawater where the nutrients of the ocean and forest meet, this salt is carefully concentrated and crystallized in runoff salt fields and flat salt pans. After the mineral balance is finely adjusted, the salt is rested in cedar barrels before drying—a slow, mindful process that captures the rhythms of nature.

This thoughtfully crafted salt reflects the climate and soil of its origin. It's then blended with akamoku seaweed, rich in minerals, and a touch of smoked salt to bring out a warm, nostalgic aroma.
