This is a decaffeinated brown rice tea (genmaicha) that is a blend of extremely rare domestic organic brown rice and green tea from Shizuoka Prefecture.
No chemicals are used, but carbon dioxide is used to remove over 90% of the caffeine compared to sencha from the same tea farm in Shizuoka Prefecture.
It can be safely consumed by pregnant women, those who are breastfeeding, and those who are concerned about caffeine.

☕1) Made with 100% Shizuoka green tea☕
This tea is made using the deep steaming method from tea leaves picked in a tea plantation in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
The deep steaming method was featured on a TV program in January 2011, and has garnered a great response from across the country. Shizuoka deep steamed tea is steamed for about 40 to 60 seconds (twice the usual time).
The long steaming time makes the tea leaves finer, but the program said that this is good for your health because the fibers are destroyed and "most of the ingredients in the tea leaves are released into the tea."

Caffeine is removed without using chemicals using a method called supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This method is usually used to extract natural ingredients from foods, but it specifically targets and removes caffeine, preserving the flavor of the tea leaves.
