HOT TAB is a bath additive made using a unique method, made from baking soda and citric acid in tablet form that efficiently produces bicarbonate ions, which are essential for a "bicarbonate bath therapy." Fine carbon dioxide bubbles continuously emerge and dissociate into bicarbonate ions and hydrogen ions in the hot water.

The HOT TAB Series foams slowly, and bicarbonate ions dissolve into the water and remain in the water for a long time. Three tablets of baking soda and citric acid in tablet form for bathing are enough for an ordinary household bath (about 160 liters).
