Kaze to Hikari uses an abundant amount of "fresh turmeric," specially cultivated by the islanders of Amami Oshima, the northernmost region for turmeric cultivation, as part of its effort to promote this unique island. In addition, we blend 20 other carefully selected spices to craft an authentic, flavorful curry roux.
Amami Oshima, located at the northernmost region for turmeric cultivation, is renowned for its premium turmeric, carefully grown through dedicated soil enhancement techniques. This curry roux is crafted using fresh turmeric, ensuring the optimal flavor and health benefits of the spice. The recipe is thoughtfully designed without the use of beef tallow or beef extracts. High-quality flour from Hokkaido's Horoshiri region and sugar sourced from Kikaijima, an island near Amami Oshima, further elevate the taste. We select only the finest ingredients, with no preservatives or artificial colorings added. To enhance the flavor, original spices are included, allowing you to sprinkle and mix them into the curry at the end to suit your personal taste.
