When mixing two different scents, the process of adjusting the ratio little by little—such as "9:1", "8:2", or "7:3"—is called "making an accord". The "Blend" number shown on the package indicates the percentage of fragrances and natural essential oils included. The final scent is crafted by building an accord that exceeds that amount.
