☕1) Made with 100% Shizuoka green tea☕
The tea leaves are picked in a tea plantation in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and are made using the deep steaming method. The deep steaming method was featured on a TV program in January 2011, and has garnered a great deal of attention from across the country. Shizuoka deep steamed tea is steamed for about 40 to 60 seconds (twice the usual time).
The long steaming time makes the tea leaves finer, but the program said that this is good for your health because the fibers are destroyed and "most of the ingredients in the tea leaves are released into the tea."
☕2) Safe decaffeinated processing☕
Caffeine is removed without using chemicals using a method called supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This method is usually used to extract natural ingredients from foods, but it specifically targets and removes caffeine, preserving the flavor of the tea leaves.
